Hi, my name is Vera.

Originally, I  come from the Czech Republic. I moved to the UK in 2016 for work but have since then settled and started a family in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

​

I was a successful IT project manager based in London with a career that took me around Europe and the world on business trips. I have an analytical mind with a keen sense of organization and detail.

 

However, there is another side to me which is quite artistic. I used to draw and doodle since I was little. As I grew older, I eventually attended an art course as a hobby outside work. This increased my passion for painting considerably as I learned the techniques for painting with acrylic paints on canvases.

In 2018 I became pregnant with my little girl Sophia and while pregnant I had a blast painting her room with a tree mural. Later at the end of my maternity leave, I decided to give up my project management career and focus on my artistic side and my family.

​

Initially, I started a business painting murals. However, this became impossible in 2020 not only because of lockdown but also because I was pregnant with my baby boy. I decided to try out another long term passion of mine - woodburning.

​

My first piece that I burnt was my pregnancy scan and since then I was hooked and discovered a brand new passion. Quickly, my makes became popular and so I founded my new business.
